Peekaru Original Vest

I had purchased the Peekaru Vest for an upcoming trip with our 3 month-old in December. I live in WI and weather can change within the hour. We were hussling through the airport ducking between cold parking ramps and breezy airport skywalks. My daughter is extremely fussy and only likes to be held facing out. I had tried slings, wraps, and a Bejorn with her, but nothing seemed to work well. I took the front carrier and hoped for the best. I thought the idea of the vest was great - but some of the features need tweaking. The vest is extremely easy to put on and take off. My daughter loved being in it. It kept her secure and most importantly warm. The only thing that bothered me was that she likes to suck her hands and it was hard for us to accomplish that. It seemed that if we got her hands out, she was too confined and the part where her head stuck out was too tight. I would like to see some sort of padded zipper or elastic drawcord (hard with choking hazards, I know) inserted in the opening of the baby's head to allow for room. My daughter does not have a huge head and it fit snug around her neck. With a hat on, the collar of the opening kept slipping up, making her hat come off. My son was born over 9 pounds and had a HUGE head and I don't think the opening of the neck would have fit him comfortably. Also, it is easy to layer with a winter jacket for yourself. Overall, I did like it and would recommend it to purchase. I've had a ton of comments on it and people ask where to get it. The vest is a great purchase
