Excellent choice

I use my backpack all the time...and love it. My daughter and I go for hikes in the forests all the time, and usually she is so comfortable that she is sleeping in the pack by the end of the hike. For a day hike, I would definately recommend this pack!!

Good to a point

We like this backpack for a child under 20 pounds. Recently, though, we can't hike for more than a few hours. Even my husband who is 6'5" and 250lbs can't carry her for long at 26 pounds.

Poor Design

I purchased this backpack to be more mobile but once I put it on with the baby in it (9 months/20 lbs.)I could only walk about a block and had to turn back as it hurt my back so much I had to get it off. The pressure is all on the lower back. This is going back.

Chicco Baby Pack

I purchased this to replace the front carrier that my daughter is growing out of. I like it o.k. My husband had to completely disassemble the straps in order to get it to work correctly, it is a bit bulky but remember I have been using a front carrier.

good for baby...

once we got my son, 19months 25lbs in the pack he liked it very well. We did a test walk around the block (3miles) and both my husband 6' and I 5'5 found it very uncomfortable. It seems like the weight doesn't distribute correctly. we will be returning it

worked great

This pack worked great until today when I went to fold it up after we came back from our hike something inside the folding mechanism on the leg broke. So if you buy or have bought this pack be careful when you fold it up.

A great carrier, especially for the price

I used the Baby Bjorn with lumbar support for my daughter until she was 8 1/2 months old and 19 lbs. Now we (both my husband and I) use the Chicco Smart Support baby backpack. Our daughter loves it, it is VERY comfortable for my husband - he is 6 feet tall, and it is easy for one person to put the baby into the carrier and onto one's own back. I find it to be a little cumbersome and a bit heavy for my lower back, but I have only used it a couple of times and am so used to the Baby Bjorn that it probably just takes a little getting used to (I am 5' 1").

Used it with our 9 month old to travel all over Italy and he loved it! So much so that he would fall asleep in it, very comfortable for the child and parent. Highly recommend it.

My husband and I went camping and took this with to carry our 18 month old daughter. She absolutely loved being able to see everything as we hiked through the woods, and my husband found the backpack very comfortable!

Excellent price; great pack

I spent a long time researching a variety of packs before deciding on this one. I'm 5'11 with a medium build; my wife is 5'4 with a slim build; our little girl (at the time the pack was purchased) is 12.5 lbs. The pack works perfectly for all of us. Although I had to make a couple of very minor adjustments to the pack (I added a little padding to the seat and protective fleece wraps to the child shoulder straps), I was off and walking with our little girl in about 30 minutes after it arrived at our doorstep. The more I use the pack the more I like it. For the money, it's one heck of a deal.

I love this carrier

I have a front baby carrier but it fits my 6'5" husband better that myself. This one is way more comfortable, less work trying to use it and I'm able to do must more while wearing it, plus my 6 month old daughter loves being higher up than the front carries and seeing all the sights.
