Baby Carrier: Koala

Baby Carrier: Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus)

As marsupials, koalas have a two-part baby carrier upbringing.

They spend the first 6 months growing in their mother’s pouch, drinking milk and eating pre-digested leaves.

After emerging from the pouch, a baby Koala rides on its mother’s back for the next 5 months.
