Our Review of the MacPac Bambina
The Macpac Bambina is a great sling-style front baby carrier, perfect for getting out and about with your little one during the formative first months of his or her life. This is a very comfortable carrier for both the wearer and the carried - the weight is balanced out well by the harness (not all on the shoulders), and the fleece-lining make the ride soft and cuddly for your little one.
The Bambina's stand out feature is the ability to switch between forward and rear-facing - infants too young to hold their heads upright on their own must face toward you; once your baby can hold his or her head up, you can switch the carrier so they can face forward and enjoy the view. The unique quick-release system makes it really easy to get the baby in and out of the harness quickly.
This carrier is intended for the first 6 months or so. At around 6 months, your baby will be ready for a larger "backpack" kid carrier - and they'll be getting heavy enough that you'll be ready for one, too!
